SIMATIC S5-115U to 155U controllers can be connected to the INTERBUS via the IBS S5 DSC/I-T interface module.
The interface module is connected to the controller via the SIMATIC I/O bus. It works like a system-specific input/output card with a variable address area, so that the data from the INTERBUS input and output cards can be accessed directly via the peripherals (L PW, T PW,...), or indirectly via the process image (U E, S A, ...) can be accessed.
