The KL9550 system terminal contains an overvoltage filter for the 24 V field and system supply. The filter protects the bus terminal from line-bound surge voltages, such as those caused by high-energy disturbances, e.g. B. Switching overvoltages in inductive consumers or lightning strikes that can occur on the supply lines. With the KL9550, the bus terminal station can be protected from damage in particularly harsh environments. In shipbuilding as well as in the onshore and offshore sectors, their use is prescribed by the ship classification societies.
